Property developer Intrapac Projects today announced it will host a community consultation day at The Village Green hall in Humpty Doo, on Saturday 23 May 2015 showcasing the vision for the Noonamah Ridge development.

The drop in day will act as an opportunity for local residents to have their say and provide valuable feedback about the planned township at Noonamah.

Intrapac’s Chief Operating Officer Max Shifman believes that community consultation is a very important part of the planning process, giving local residents the opportunity to better understand the proposed development concept and help shape the final plan to meet their needs.

“At this stage, we want locals to gain a better understanding of our vision for the area. Two-way communication is also very important to us because we want residents to help us understand their needs and aspirations,” said Max.

“Residents will be able to speak to the Intrapac project team, including our planners, engineers, landscapers and town architects to get an insight into the proposed look and feel for the development. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback which will be taken on board as part of the overall planning process,” he said.

“We are very pleased with the overall response for the project received to date – particularly after the release of the Environmental Impact Statement Terms of Reference by the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority late last year. We have already received positive interest from prospective homebuyers via our website noonamah.com,” said Max.

Intrapac plans to build a high quality rural residential neighbourhood, which retains the rural character of the area, and preserves the natural ecological corridors that the tropical north has to offer.

The 2,800-hectare site will include a mix of rural residential, semi-urban and urban areas and will also set aside land for commercial enterprise. The master plan will provide a variety of block sizes and housing typologies. It will be a self-sustaining community where residents will have access to schools, shops and community facilities keeping all essential services close by.

The Noonamah development is a good news story for the local economy, stimulating the building industry and local job market. The development will follow the Territory’s appropriate planning guidelines and will work closely with authorities to deliver a new township to the highest standards.
