Intrapac Property and Bayport, the developers of Kinley are hosting the Carols at Kinley on Sunday 2 December from 4pm.
Sponsored by Bendigo Bank and Leader Newspapers, this inaugural event is set to become a mainstay on the Lilydale community calendar.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy this free community event celebrating the spirit of Christmas under the stars.
Bring along a picnic blanket or a low sitting chair to enjoy the musical and food festivities as this event will also have food trucks and a Christmas market for locals to enjoy.
Max Shifman, Chief Operating Officer of Intrapac Property said with development and Kinley starting, this event is a great opportunity for locals to see all the Kinley will offer in the future.
“We are so proud to be hosting this community event at the heritage listed Kinley Grounds, currently being well-utilised by local Lilydale’s sporting clubs.
“It will be the first of a regular calendar of events that we intend to hold on there. It is an opportunity for us to give back and be part of the community we are building,” Mr Shifman said.
“It is a special time of year and the spirit of the people of the Yarra Ranges will be at home in Kinley,” he said.
“It is also an opportunity to support local businesses by showcasing them at the Christmas market. We invite local families to come and enjoy a beautiful night under the stars.”
December is a busy time, but Carols at Kinley offers a range of activities to fit into everyone’s busy schedule. Parents can choose to bring their children to the earlier part of the late afternoon with the kid’s activities and entertainment or just for attend the carols.
There will be food trucks on hand to feed hungry mouths with a range of cuisines to suit everyone’s taste. There will also be market stalls, selling Christmas crafts and gifts.
The Carols at Kinley Concert will be hosted by Dan Hamill, with featured soloists:
- Bella Paige, from The Voice 2018 runner up;
- Josh Piterman, Star of the musical, “Beautiful”;
- Josh Richards from The Voice 2018 entrant; and
- Natalie Ong from X-Factor 2016
The performers will be supported by the Manningham Concert Band and Melbourne Contemporary Choir.
From 4pm – 7pm we enter the Kids Zone with free activities including face painting, jumping castle, Christmas craft and roving entertainment. Santa photos are also available from 4pm – 6pm (Bring your own camera).
The pre-carols entertainment kicks off at 6.15 pm with Bethany Fisher who will bring her high-energy interactive singing and dancing show and get the crowd into the Christmas spirit.
