Protecting and enhancing the adjacent Darebin Creek environs is a strong focus for Intrapac’s future new residential community at 149 McKimmies Road, Bundoora.
Subject to the required approvals, Intrapac plans to create a new residential precinct on the property. The project will include a diverse mix of housing and will materially improve the site’s environmental condition, taking it from a partially filled, disused quarry to a well-planned and landscaped residential precinct.
As the largest infill residential development site in the northern suburb of Bundoora, the site is conveniently located 33km from the Melbourne CBD and close to established amenities including RMIT Bundoora, DFO Uni Hill and 3km to freeway access via the Metropolitan Ring Road.
The development will rejuvenate the Darebin Creek frontage vastly improving the amenity to the site whilst also delivering a series of connecting pedestrian and cycling paths including a bridge crossing providing a connection to the Thomastown East Sports field. Two large community parks are also proposed providing open green space for passive recreational activity in a lush green environment with 30% of the site area to be covered by tree canopy as the trees mature.
