The Lilydale Quarry Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP), which will guide the staged development of Kinley over the next 20 years, is now on public consultation.

The CDP shows the conceptual location for the approximately 3000 future homes on the site and identifies the infrastructure needed to support the growing community, such as roads, open spaces and facilities. It also outlines land for employment and retail areas, primarily concentrated around a proposed train station (not approved).

The site will build on Lilydale’s local character and celebrate its heritage from Traditional Ownership through to its industrial use as a former limestone quarry.

The CDP will provide certainty to the Lilydale community and Kinley residents about what changes to expect on the former quarry site over the next 20 years.

You can learn more about the plan by going to the Engage Victoria website. Here you will find all the background documents to support the Development Plan, register to attend a virtual drop-in session followed by a Q&A, access the contact details of the project team or, make a submission by Friday, 18 December 2020.
