Founder and Executive Chairman of Intrapac Property, David Payes AM has spent more than four decades shaping award-winning residential communities across Australia.

Widely regarded as a respected leader within the Australian property industry, David established Intrapac Property in 1984 with a long-term vision focused on creating communities that combine exceptional urban design, sustainability and enduring value. An early advocate for placemaking and thoughtful community design, David has long championed the idea that residential communities should deliver lasting value not only for residents, but for the broader community and environment.

Throughout his career, David has played an active role in shaping the property industry through his involvement with the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA), holding multiple leadership positions including President (Victoria), Vice President, Director and National Councillor. In recognition of his significant contribution to the property industry and broader community, David was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Today, David continues to guide the strategic direction of Intrapac Property, supporting acquisitions, partnerships and the delivery of communities designed for long-term liveability, connection and growth across Australia.
