Intrapac Property and Hume Property Pty Ltd are proud to announce QUAY2 has reached the milestone of its first 200 sales, just five months after welcoming its 100th purchasers.

Felicity and Lionel Hill signed the contract to call QUAY2 home on the same day they celebrated the milestone of daughter Anabella reaching the nine-month mark and say they couldn’t be happier.

“We drove through The Quay, which is the first stage of QUAY2, and could see that it was aesthetically better than the other Surf Coast developments and a bit more top-end,” says Mr Hill. “It just felt like a nice community.”

“QUAY2 is also fantastic for new mums, because of the community events Intrapac Property put on in the neighbourhood,” says Mrs Hill. “I’ve also joined the New Mum’s Group and the Mums and Bubs yoga and pilates classes – there are so many opportunities here for new parents to meet each other.”

The pair were initially tossing up between moving from their Port Melbourne home to the Surf Coast or the Mornington Peninsula, but chose the Surf Coast and say it was an easy choice in the end.

“The commute from the Surf Coast to my South Melbourne office is brilliant with the VLine train and being at the end of the line for both the starting point and destination means I won’t accidentally fall asleep and miss my stop!” says Mr Hill, who is National Account Manager for Asahi Beverages.

They also preferred the more ‘relaxed feel’ to the Surf Coast, saying it felt more detached from Melbourne than the Mornington Peninsula, where there were less opportunities for building.

“We like the fact the Surf Coast is still developing itself and want to be a bit creative and build a custom house,” says Mrs Hill. “We investigated lots of estate options in Torquay and decided QUAY2 would hold its value more because of the strict design guidelines.”

QUAY2’s estate manager Adriana Falcone says the strict design guidelines are there to protect purchasers’ investments.

Ms Falcone reached the selling milestone after just 12 months of the project being on the market, which she says is prior to expected. She presented the Hill family with a celebratory bottle of champagne on signing.

“It’s a beautiful development and people like the fact they don’t have to wait for titles,” says Ms Falcone. “I’m one of them and look forward to moving from Portarlington to Torquay with all my buyers soon. We’ve secured great investments, as well as beautiful homes in this sought-after location.”

QUAY2 was presented with an Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) EnviroDevelopment certification, which showed the project achieved all six EnviroDevelopment elements, with certifications in the water, materials, waste, energy, ecosystems and community elements.

EnviroDevelopment certification is a scientifically-based branding system that allows purchasers to recognise and select more environmentally sustainable developments and lifestyles. The certification recognises excellence in the field and is reviewed annually. They’re not easy to achieve, with only 20 EnviroDevelopments to-date in Victoria.
