CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY AT INTRAPAC’S SOMERFIELD ESTATE

Local children from Intrapac’s Somerfield estate in Keysborough will have the opportunity to strut their stuff down the plank, donning their best pirate outfits at the inaugural International Talk Like a Pirate Day celebration.

Hosted for the first time this year, International Talk Like a Pirate Day will be held on Sunday 14 September 2014 in the architecturally designed pirate adventure playground at the Somerfield estate.

Children will have the opportunity to meet Somerfield’s very own pirate – the legendary Captain
Jack Sparrow, walk the plank and participate in a chocolate treasure hunt all in the name of fun. Other activities include a giant pirate ship jumping castle, free pirate cupcakes and balloon twisting.

Intrapac’s Senior Development Manager Max Shifman said the event is yet another initiative designed to bring residents together within the community.

“The highlight of the day will be the Children’s Best Dressed Pirate Competition and the Children’s Talk Like a Pirate Competition, with prizes being awarded to winners,” said Max.

While International Talk Like a Pirate Day officially falls on 19 September, Intrapac wanted to get in early with celebrations. “There will be fun and excitement for the whole family. We hope to make it a permanent fixture on Somerfield’s social calendar,” he said.

Since launching in 2009, Somerfield has enjoyed an incredible sales uptake from a wide demographic. Situated approximately 25 minutes drive to Melbourne’s CBD, Somerfield is close to transport links, primary and secondary schools, and shops. The variety of beautifully designed open spaces have made it a highly desirable and inspiring place to live for many first time homebuyers, upgraders and investors.
