QUAY2 and The Quay Communities Unite Against Cancer in Relay for Life Event.
QUAY2 and The Quay communities came together on Friday 3rd March as a team walking to raise funds for the Cancer Council during its annual Relay for Life event on the Surf Coast.
“We’re proud of the two communities coming together for a great cause,” says Maxwell Shifman, Chief Operating Officer of Intrapac Property, the developer behind the two Torquay developments. “Even before the houses are built at QUAY2, purchasers can join in with neighbourhood fundraising and social events.”
Overall, $68,000 was raised for the Cancer Council in the overnight walkathon for the 500 participants. There were also a few new friendships made along the way between potential new neighbours.
Intrapac Property paid for the team’s registrations and donated an extra $100 to the Cancer Council per QUAY2 purchaser who joined the team.
A special Easter event is being planned for Saturday 8th April from 10am to midday to provide another opportunity for the existing and future residents to meet and socialise.
